Reports to: Senior Director of Advancement Start Date: May 1, 2020
The Cristo Rey Network seeks an Associate Director of Communications and Alumni Relations to be a strategic, collaborative partner on the national office Advancement Team. This cross-functional role will manage the national office’s strategic commitments to broaden the movement’s national visibility, deepen engagement of internal and external stakeholders, and ensure the continued success of the Network’s National Alumni Association.
Candidates must desire to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and be successful in balancing multiple job tasks simultaneously.
Strategically plan, organize, and implement National Brand Strategy and Communications Plan, in collaboration with school leaders at existing and future Cristo Rey schools
Manage ongoing development and updates to internal and external websites
Maintain Network print and electronic communications materials; support content development and production of the Annual Report and other resources requested by national office team
Create and implement a series of targeted, focused public relations initiatives and media relation efforts
Manage and grow the Network’s social media platforms
Write, design, and publish the Network’s weekly internal e-newsletter and monthly external e-newsletter; maintain email contact lists
Identify, secure, and manage speaking engagements and other related activity for the President and CEO, Chair Emeritus, and other subject matter experts
Manage the Communications Style Guide and disseminate updates with Network schools
Perform other tasks as assigned by the Senior Director of Advancement or President and CEO.
Alumni Relations Responsibilities
Foster engagement between alumni, Corporate Partners, and the Network through visionary development of the National Alumni Association
Dramatically increase the percentage of alumni active on the alumni platform
Grow alumni access to workforce development and job placement opportunities at CRN Corporate Partners
Create opportunities to build community by coordinating regional events and mobilizing online engagement platforms
Qualifications and Skills
5+ years of marketing and communications experience
Strong computer and design skills (e.g. Word, Excel, Power Point, basic familiarity with HTML, Adobe Creative Suite programs), comfortable with online applications
Ability to work independently, set priorities, and complete work in a timely and accurately manner
Exceptional interpersonal, collaborative, and organizational skills
Exceptional writing, editing, and oral communication skills
Demonstrated commitment to the mission of the Cristo Rey Network
