Aspire is currently seeking a Level II Behavior Therapist that will be responsible for writing and maintaining individual behavior development programs for participant and provide consultation and training to all Aspire programs divisions.
Provides training to direct support persons in behavior development programs and crisis prevention and intervention techniques.
Designs behavior development programs for individual program participants.
Maintain documentation by completing BEC/ HRC forms, PCP summaries, monthly summaries, billing documentation and other clinical services department paperwork.
Presents individual behavior development programs to the Behavior Enrichment Committee and Human Rights Committee.
Communicates with life consultants regarding behavior goals and progress towards obtaining behavioral goals for individual program participants.
Performs observations at day programming and residential sites for behavior development programs.
Completes treatment integrity checks on behavior programming implementation and provides feedback to staff.
Obtains required signatures/approvals for planned behavior programming.
Attends meetings, where needed, relating to behavior development/programming.
Completes required paperwork and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
Monitors consistent use of program data charts, scales checklists, etc.
Provides behavior interventions (one-on-one, team) with individuals when needed.
Participates in monthly psychiatric consultations.
Assists with developing staff training.
Provides behavior program training as needed at residential and day programming sites.
Monitors data tracking, including collection and data analysis.
Track time for Level II DHS billing.
Runs social skill adaptive groups.
Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Bachelor of Arts or Bachelors of Science Psychology or human services field-required
At least 2 years of experience in related field
Eligible for and/or currently approved Level 2 Behavior Therapist by DHS (must be able to show proof)-required
Valid license and acceptable drivers record-required
Additional Required Qualifications:
Documentation that candidates have been approved by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board to take the examination to be credentialed by this Board, Behavior Analyst or Associate Behavior Analyst AND a sample behavior plan you designed and/or wrote.
Must have all three of the following:
Sample behavior plan you designed and/or wrote.
At least 1,500 hours of coursework, training and/or supervised professional experience in the application of behavior analysis or behaviorally-based therapy models as documented by completed a verification table.
Coursework – related to behavior analysis
BCBA approved University practicum
Supervised experience must be under the direction of a Board Certified Analysts (BCBA) or licensed Clinical Psychologist
Work experience as an employee will NOT be considered as supervised experience unless specific details are provided that clearly show supervision in designing behavior invention, writing behavior plans and monitoring plan implementations.
Supervised experienced verification table must be completed fully and signed by each supervisor.
