The Development Director is a member of the BBF executive team. Working with the BBF President, Chairman of the board and other board officers, the development director has primary responsibility for the agency’s financial resource development. Charged with developing both short range and long range funding programs, the Director will have access to the full range of supporters that have been developed throughout the agency’s storied history. The director is expected to manage a diverse fundraising base that includes public and private grants, a significant individual and corporate donor base, and broad experience in special event fundraising. The development director will have the opportunity to rebuild the agency’s development office through staff development and consultant resources.
Three years experience as a development officer. In depth knowledge of Chicago's giving community and public funding agencies.

The Better Boys Foundation dba BBF Family Services is a 55 year old youth service agency located in the North Lawndale community on Chicago's Westside. The agency provides programs for both boys and girls from the age of 5 through college graduation. With an emphasis on academic support, family counseling and life enrichment, BBF has successfully used a combination of public and private funding to carry out its mission.
