PEAK's mission is to provide opportunities for underserved youth to achieve academic and personal success by combining a four-year, quality, values-based high school education with the guidance and commitment of caring, adult mentors;
Who we serve:
Since 1998, PEAK has focused on an often-overlooked segment of Chicago’s youth: academically average students from our city’s most underserved neighborhoods. Through a rigorous interview process, we identify incoming freshmen who demonstrate the grit, ability and desire necessary to flourish in life—if only given financial, educational and personal support through their high school years;
How we serve:
PEAK's unique approach combines a four-year, full-tuition high school scholarship with an award-winning mentoring program. PEAK mentors are paired with a scholar at the start of freshman year and commit to this 1:1 relationship for all four years.
