The Director of Early Childhood Education is responsible for developing quality standards of excellence and service operations for all programs and ensuring consistency of all program services and policies.
Participates as a member of the management team with agency program development
Development and maintenance of agency procedures and program service throughout the agency.
Provide monthly reports on program performance
Oversee and submit the self-assessment of programs
Assists the agency with overseeing the implementation of agency policy and procedures throughout all programs.
Assure personnel issues with respect to the agency policy and procedures as outlined in personnel handbook are being followed
Participate in workshops, trainings, and meetings relevant to all programs and populations served, as directed.
Assure program goals and objectives are developed annually and evaluated for the achievement of Early Learning Program success.
Annually evaluate services and work with staff to develop enhancements consistent with the agency’s philosophy and mission.
Prepare reports on program services, statistics and outcomes for various funders, partners, staff members and other parties as needed.
Assure the quality and timely submission of all programmatic reports and processing of all paperwork as defined by funder with a quarterly report to executive leadership.
Assist writing grant and proposals for program expansions.
Team Leadership and Staff Supervision
Provide leadership, supervision and ongoing performance management for the agency’s Early Learning Programs
Ensure that staff supervisors provide comprehensive training to new staff/interns/volunteers, as well as provide ongoing staff development and education.
Serve as a resource for the agency’s program staff as it relates to both program and administrative matters; ensure that assigned staff members implement program services and handle administrative responsibilities
Master’s degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education preferred or 30 hours in ECE Courses preferred but not required.
Minimum of 5-10 years’ experience in fiscal management, resource development and maintenance, agency and program planning, and public relations.
Experience in integrating or developing technology based on awareness/reach out.
Demonstrates ability to work cooperatively with individuals from diverse educational, socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds (bilingual/Spanish a plus).
Possess strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
Ability to travel locally and attend occasional evening and weekend events.
May be required to carry, lift, or move equipment, material or supplies weighing up to 40 lbs.
